RockFire at the Lake is Topeka¹s newest community development comprised of 169 acres, carefully planned for unmatched beauty, comfort and convenience. Resting on the bluffs overlooking Lake Shawnee Park and Golf Course to the west, RockFire at the Lake stretches to 45th and Croco on the south and east. Initially, more than 250 home sites will offer easy access to a community park, neighborhood shopping with offices, retail stores, restaurants, banks and a grocery store, plus an active adult community. Completion of this development is expected within three to seven years. Next, the 240 acres on the northeast corner of 45th and Croco will become part of the expanded RockFire community. A convenient new elementary school is planned for this addition, further enhancing our strong ties with the local schools.
         
 

Our name, RockFire at the Lake, captures the natural beauty of our environment overlooking Lake Shawnee as the setting sun sheds its crimson glow. Natural limestone ledges adorn the scenery and much of this limestone will also grace the design of the development itself. Many of the lots have valuable mature trees that can be built around for relaxation, privacy, as well as shade.

Families of all ages and desires will find a neighborhood that suits their dreams at RockFire. Within the larger community are twelve comfortable cul-de-sacs where residents can get acquainted with their neighbors. Walking trails within RockFire pleasantly connect the neighborhoods and the shopping area. A True "Community"
In addition to our 287 home sites, RockFire at the Lake will include a broad range of living options and amenities that comprise a "community" in the finest sense of the word. A 12-acre active adult community will thrive along the stream that feeds Lake Shawnee. The two and three story Capitol Condominiums and Garden Town Homes will provide 12 acres of gentle transition between the neighborhood shopping and the larger estate lots. The 20-acre neighborhood shopping center will include sites for a bank, a grocery store and restaurants as well as areas for various retail and office uses. Unique Neighborhoods
RockFire¹s master plan includes creation of many small communities, each one featuring their own unique character. For example, near the southwest corner of RockFire stands the original 1880s homestead for this 169-acre parcel of land. This classic, two-story, natural limestone home, will be remodeled by the family that desires a historic ambiance for living. It will anchor the Blazing Star Estates community, a cul-de-sac of 11 estate lots surrounding the stone homestead. These homes¹ façades will feature the same natural limestone, enhancing the neighborhood¹s unique sense of style and local color.

Another neighborhood area, Silverleaf Estates, will feature stone, stucco or brick façade homes on lots offering stately, mature trees. Many of these prime locations overlook the Lake Shawnee Golf Course.

Beneficial Covenants
The homeowners' covenants will contain certain protections and requirements for the benefit of all owners in the development. These documents will include such items as the restriction of parking for recreational vehicles and other commercial vehicles on the streets, no chain link fencing of any kind, and a certain amount of stone or brick on the front of all structures.
